About
European Centre for Technology Research and Practice
ECTRP is an international research and practice community. We connect researchers, academics and practitioners across disciplines and borders through publishing, peer review and structured knowledge exchange.
Our founding principle is straightforward: research shouldn't be expensive to publish. Publication costs remain one of the clearest barriers to participation in scholarly communication, particularly for early-career researchers, practitioners and institutions outside well-funded systems.
Our approach
ECTRP treats scholarly service as something of measurable value. Peer review, workshop participation and other verified contributions are recorded in a member's contribution record and recognised through ECTRP Contribution Credits.
Contribution Credits are non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash. They exist to make participation in research publishing more accessible, not to create a market.
Membership
Membership is open to researchers, academics, practitioners and students. Members hold a professional profile, take part in the review and knowledge exchange activities of the centre, and may be recognised with an ECTRP Contributor Level reflecting expertise, academic experience and service to the community.
